About the creator

Bill McElroy is the creator and artist behind the pen that brings his make-believe fish friends to life. Combining his desire to be a cartoonist with a lifelong hobby, McElroy came up with an idea that was exciting, funny and unlike anything already published. In 1987, "Scales and Tales" was born.
